Curriculum Overview

With respect to local, national and International Governance and Sustainable Development, the key speakers of the Ph.D. programme and its participants study a variety of topics including Law, economy, management and finance, politics, sociology and religion, environmental issues, psychology, anthropology, philosophy and human values, communities values and governance models and principles.

Field of Specialization

Each Ph.D. student in the programme chooses to concentrate in one of the principal course/seminar clusters of the curriculum. Beside the field of specialization, each course/seminar cluster is compulsory to encourage cross disciplinary studies and blended experiences.

Ph.D. Sequence and Duration

The doctoral training leading to the thesis defense lasts 36 months, full-time, with activities distributed as follows, for a total of 180 credits for the entire training.

FIRST YEAR (1):

• First-year course/seminar work completed
• Formulation of thesis topic
• Participation aux sessions de coaching de thèse en Zoom
• Research project proposal submitted to the Ph.D. Committee and validation
• (chapter 1)

SECOND YEAR (2):

• Dissertation proposal drafted: chapter 2, 3
• Field: data collection or full documentation
• Articles en rapport avec le thème de la thèse
• Papiers-conférence doctorales
• Participation aux sessions de coaching de thèse en Zoom

THIRD YEAR (3):

• Data analysis
• Dissertation proposal drafted: chapter 4, 5
• Dissertation: integration of remarks of extern examiners
• Defended before Ph.D. Jury committee

Conditions de Soutenance

Pour être autorisé à soutenir, le doctorat doit avoir :

• Valider tous les cours et séminaires inscrit à son programme
• Présenter au moins une conférence doctorale
• Participer dans un Laboratoire de recherche
• Publier au moins deux articles en rapports avec sa thèse
• S'être acquitté de toutes les conditions financières

Procédures de Soutenance

Le directeur de la thèse rédige un rapport de dépôt de thèse décrivant le parcours de recherche doctorale du candidat, les grandes questions et objectifs de la thèse, les méthodes et les techniques de recherche, les principaux résultats. Le rapport termine par une note de recommandation au dépôt de thèse pour les procédures suivantes pouvant aboutir à la soutenance.

Le directeur de l'école doctorale soumet le texte de thèse dûment rédigé aux examinateurs externes pour avis et leurs rapports déterminent la soutenance immédiate ou d'abord l'intégration des nouvelles observations et corrections.

La soutenance est publique et est organisée dans un centre universitaire/Pôle dans un autre pays que celui du doctorant pour respecter le principe de la mobilité et des expériences y relatives.
